Home sweet..?

I must tell you, dear reader, that going on vacation for a person who weighs over 485 pounds can be no vacation at all. All the things a normal person takes for granted became personal nightmares for me. I won't go into details because I choose not to relive the pain.

Honesty

When I first started this blog, I set out to be completely honest about my struggles with weight loss. I don't think I've failed in that regard. I haven't posted to this site because I haven't wanted to. I haven't been dieting or exercising, so I didn't care anymore. My situation hasn't improved. My health is worse than it was before. I'm still determined to lose weight, and I think I know how. Consistency, discipline and emotions are the hurdles right now.

Bad Byronn

For the past few weeks, I haven't been eating healthy. I've started juicing with my Jack Lalane juicer again. The juice has been good, but I'm not getting the same results I did when I first started. My wife and I have started walking. She is doing really well. I, on the other hand, am not.

A New Start

First, The bad news...

I weigh 465 lbs. When I started this whole thing, I hadn't weighed my self in a very long time. It had to be around last Christmas. I was really going on how I felt in my clothes and my inability to successfully get around without pain. I had no idea that since last Christmas I had been carrying around an extra 35 lbs.

The good News...

I was accepted to the Lakeshore Foundation and I started on 11/10/2011. I'll be working with them to drop my weight and increase my fitness. I want to participate in the 5K portion of the SBK Race for the Cure here in Birmingham next year.

I still don't eat chicken or red meat. I do eat sweets, cheese, dairy and eggs. Still eating a large portion of vegetables.
