A Bad Day

Tuesday was a difficult day for me. I was not on my game, and I gave no real consideration as to what I was going to eat. That led to me making what I consider to be very poor food choices. This always seems to happen in stressful situations.

1 order of Arby's mozzarella sticks
4 slices of veggie Pizza Hut pizza

ADVICE

If anyone would see this site looking for advice, then the only advice I could offer, at the present time, is to make sure that your reasons for starting a diet like this are pure. This is a difficult task, and no one will understand. Those with families will undergo a profound change because your family will have to adjust to your new lifestyle.

2 pieces of fried tilapia (no corn meal)
1 piece of whole grain bread
1 cup of jif to go peanut butter
3 kosher dill halves

Went crazy today. I have to get myself together.

What I ate: Monday, 7/18/2011

1 grilled soy cheese sandwich with four kosher dill halves
2 cups of homemade banana pudding
2 mixed fruit grain bars
12 oz of blackberries
1 small apple
1 piece of dark chocolate
16 oz of strawberries
1 1.5 oz bag of sour cream and onion chips
2 peanut butter and jelly sandwiches
1 bag of popcorn

(I ate way too much food)

3 cups of McDonald's fruit and maple oatmeal
1 Chick-Fil-A yogurt parfait and diet lemonade
1 bowl of bush's red beans and rice
1 plate of black bean nachos with sour cream, lettuce, salsa and melted nacho cheese.

I recognize there are tons of problems with what I ate, but this change will not happen overnight. I am not interested in being so upset about the strictness of this experiment that I end up quitting without experiencing any real changes.

Today.

Weird. All I had today was a fruit and maple oatmeal cup from Mcdonalds and a fried tilapia sandwich from Blue Ocean. Didn't really feel hungry. Oh, I had a couple handfuls of popcorn too.

Today was mostly meatless except for the soft tacos. I'm striving for fully meatless tomorrow. I promise nothing, because that isn't what this whole thing is about. More on what it is about later...

What I have eaten today:

2 cups of fresh strawberries
1 bowl of Special K fruit and yogurt with almond milk
4 M&Ms
A piece of an oatmeal pie
4 soft tacos with sour cream
1 foot-long veggie sub
1 sliced apple

Just Me. No one else.

Why and what for?

The "morbidly obese" classification is something I never felt comfortable with. I don't think anybody could. It is because of this, that I've probably tried every diet out there, with unsuccessful results. Recently, I've noticed that on the days that I don't eat meat, things are easier on my 400 plus frame. That has prompted me to experiment with the vegan/vegetarian diet and lifestyle.
